Product Description

Privet (Ligustrum ovalifolium) is a traditional English choice. We offer here the form ovalifolium, a rich green plant that holds it’s leaves well into winter, although will lose them as the winter progresses. Privet trims very well, and if it gets twiggy likes nothing more than to be cut hard back and regenerate. Also, if left to go do it’s own thing, is a very useful wildlife plant, with white flowers, very similar to the closely related lilac, loved by bees and butterflies and leaves eaten by all sorts of things. And not too many people think of it like that. In the photograph here are some 120-150cm o.g. plants on our nursery ready for rootballing. We also sell it in 3l and 10l pots, and can quite for bare root.
