Hosta Dark Master is one of our own finds. It is a sport of Patriot. Emerges two tome green, this photograph taken at the end of April, and later fades to dark green. The colour of the margin can depend a bit on the position of the plant. Being a sport of Patriot it is lightly polyploid so has a very good leaf substance, which can really be appreciated in the dark green leaf.
