Hosta Orange Marmalade will be one of the true classic Hostas, because it is not just a novelty like so many introductions, but actually a good grower. A sport of the equally good Paul’s Glory, Orange Marmalade early season has unique orangy yellow tones in the centre of the leaf. Later on these fade to cream, but as an early summer show off, it is hard to beat, particularity as this is quite a large variety. The leaf has decent rugose texture and good thick substance. Not a plant I grow in quantity, but I sometimes have a few divisions spare.
