Iris germanica Rajah is an old and reliable tall bearded variety. Flowers around 70cm or so tall, yellow standards and burgundy falls. Here we find it is very dependable, always giving plenty of flowers. As always with bearded iris, it needs an open, sunny well drained spot, where its rhizomes can get some sun, and it does not like to be crowded by other plants.
