Product Description
Bhutan Pine. A beautiful species of tree. Has long, slender blue-green needles that hang down, and the bark of the young tree is smooth, and the twigs have a strange rubbery feel to them. Has long, curved cones that hang down like bunches of scaly green bananas and often invite comment. If left to it’s own devices can grow into a large tree, but like most pines it responds well to pruning. Also understood to be very polution resistant, not that that, fortunately, is such an important factor in this century. ALso known under the species names wallichiana and griffithii.
