Product Description
Graceful little pine with long blue-ish needles. Grows about 15 a year, and forms a round headed bush. The photographs here are of one of our three litre pot size sales plants and of one in a specimen bed, between a lovely blue Abies lasiocarpa Compacta form and a Chamaecyparis obtusa Confucious, a vairiety that I believe is no longer grown in the UK, perhaps I should take some cuttings, but it isn’t an easy variety. Anyway, back to the Pinus, which really should be under the species name excelsa, but wallichiana, the old name, sounds more pleasant! Whatever you call it, it makes a fine border, heath garden or alpine specimen.
