Hosta Swirling Hearts is a rare variety that I have had lurking in my collection for quite a long time, and I occasionally have a few spares. Always goes fast! It has a lovely light green leaf with a greyish cast to it. The name comes from the tendency on many leaves for the basal lobes to cross one over the other where they meet at the petiole, and there the neat prominent veining gives the effect of a swirling vortex. Or something like that, if you have enough imagination! One for the hard core collectors, or those who just like me appreciate the subtle beauties of green Hostas.
